Lucius Quinton Smith is the seventh of thirteen children, born to the lateIsaac and Mary Smith of Lancaster Virginia. Lucius entered the Armed Forces and travelled extensively, throughout the world. He retired after 22 years of dedicated military service. Reverend Smith was ordained as a Deacon at Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church , were he served for seven years. After which, God called him to a higher calling of spreading the Gospel. He accepted the call to the Gospel Ministry and was licensed to preach, by the late Pastor Dr. Leroy Burgess. While serving in the capacity of an Associate Minister of Walnut Grove, he was appointed as Director of Christian Education. Pastor Smith is currently the under-shepherd of the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, a congregation that believes that everything that has breath should praise the Lord. He has faithfully served in this leadership role. Pastor Smith is a graduate of the Great Commission College and Theological Seminary, Bowling Green, Kentucky where he received his Bachelor of Bible Degree. He is also a graduate of the Cumberland River South Kentucky Middle Tennessee Baptist District School of Religion. Pastor Smith attended the American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville, Tennessee to better prepare himself to expound on God’s Word. Prior to the before-mentioned schools, Pastor Smith received his most n-depth Theological training and Spiritual growth under the mentoring and teaching of Pastor Leroy Burgess. On August 15, 2018 Pastor Smith was elected as the Moderator of the Cumberland River South Kentucky Middle Tennessee Baptist District Association Pastor Smith is married to Patricia Jackson Smith. They are the parents of five boys and two girls.
